NAC Summer Rafting

The crystal-clear Shiribetsu River is born from Mt. Yotei’s plentiful spring water. Riding the flow in a rafting boat is a special way to experience the nature of Niseko up close. Your position at the river’s surface with water splashing around you provides a unique perspective on the lush forest.
While the scenery flashes by and the boat rocks, embrace the challenge of rowing together as a team to navigate the waters. In July and August, family rafting suitable for ages 3 and up is also available on sections of the river with gentler currents.

Ride the summer gondola
813m in the air

Making its summer debut in 2026, the brand-new Ace Gondola whisks you up to a height of 813m. The cabins featuring expansive glass panels make you feel like you’ve been transported into the sky. With Mt. Yotei right in front of you, enjoy a trip to the top in just 10 minutes. The slopes that make up the ski runs in winter boast diverse plant life in summer, their green symphony creating a feast for the eyes.

Lunch at NEST813

Tuck into lunch at NEST813, a new restaurant with its own terrace. The carefully-crafted menu with generous servings of local Hokkaido ingredients includes freshly-baked breads and delectable desserts. With pasta, beef stew, and much more, the selection on offer is sure to have something to put a smile on everyone’s face.
Sit back, relax and take in the breathtaking view of Mt. Yotei as you tuck into your meal.

After lunch, head out onto the Observation Terrace, where you can even grab a photo in front of Mt. Yotei as a memento of your trip. From the spectacular sight of the majestic mountain to the wild birdsong and rustling of the trees, indulge your senses in a moment of relaxation.

Walk through the air at NAC Adventure Park

Take on one of Japan’s largest aerial trekking parks. With a total of 140 elements over 11 courses of varying difficulties and heights from 2 to 13 meters, thrilling challenges await for children and adults alike. The courses built by Estonian experts with experience building parks all over the world include world-class safety features, ensuring peace of mind even for beginners. With experienced guides on hand to give advice as you head through the treetops, any nerves are sure to give way to smiling faces by the end.

Heading to Takahashi Dairy Farm

The next stop is Niseko Takahashi Dairy Farm, about a 10-minute drive away. The soft-serve ice cream made with fresh milk is must try. If you’re lucky, you might see the cows grazing in the pastures while Mt. Yotei stands majestically in the background. After savoring the bounty of these vast fields and basking in the afterglow of the journey, it’s time to head back.

kick back with a delightful drink on the Observation Terrace at the summit.

Jump in a ducky and ride the current downstream, with bracing splashes of water only adding to the thrill. Duckies have two big differences compared to rafting—your guide rides in a separate boat and the ducky itself is smaller. While a guide instructs from another boat, navigating the river entirely with your own oars makes for the ultimate thrilling challenge.

Try standup paddleboarding on a gentle section of the Shiribetsu River, gliding along the surface almost like a water strider. Fully experience the majesty of nature with the refreshing breeze on your face and the stunning greens of the trees all around you.

Lunch at POWDERHOOD

After getting active in the sunshine, stop by POWDERHOOD at the base of the gondola line for a spot of lunch. At this restaurant with an in-house brewery, you can choose between spacious seating in the dining area and a standing bar area ideal for casual drinks, including craft beer. The filling menu featuring burgers, pizza and steak is perfect for refueling after the morning’s exertions.

Enjoy a relaxing game of pickleball at our all-new court.
Created in the US, this blend of tennis and ping pong is a recent hit thanks to its simple rules and the ease with which even beginners can keep a rally going. Be warned, lighthearted exercise can soon get competitive!

Three-wheeled mountain carts give you a feeling of real speed as you head down the ski slopes. Their low center of gravity provides pretty of balance, ideal for beginners. The wind rushing by as you roll down the mountains provides invigorating refreshment even on the sunniest days.

for a coffee break at NEST813

The new Ace Gondola whisks you up to a height of 813m in cabins featuring fully-glass exteriors for an exceptional clear view. Gaze out onto Mt. Yotei as you ascend before arriving at the summit, where the newly-opened NEST813 restaurant and adjoining Observation Terrace await. Enjoy an afternoon coffee made with select beans, latte drinks, and a host of items almost too photogenic to drink.

Round off the day with a trip to the Niseko View Plaza Michi-no-Eki (Roadside Rest Area), about a 15-minute drive from Grand HIRAFU. From specialty products to local produce, the wide selection epitomizes the best that the Niseko area has to offer. Pick out souvenirs with the joy of your trip fresh in your mind, then head back to the hotel with the satisfaction of a day well spent.

This is a great time to get some photos, or just enjoy gazing out onto Mt. Yotei—whatever takes your fancy. Sit back on the cloud-inspired decorations and savor the cool breeze that weaves its way across the mountains.

A gondola ride back to base

Get back on the Ace Gondola and enjoy another look at Niseko’s summer scenery as you return to the base station. The majestic Mt. Yotei in front of you gets closer and closer as you descend, exuding a different presence compared to the ascent.

Explore ALPEN NODE
and the surrounding area

At the base of the gondola, it’s time to visit ALPEN NODE. Newly opened last winter, this facility’s highlights include the restaurant POWDERHOOD, where you can take in the sights of the base plaza and the in-house brewery while enjoying some of the craft beer produced on site.
